The day of Mike and Emily’s wedding was a hot one! The temperature had to be in the 90′s and the whole way down to Cape May I was crossing my fingers that it wouldn’t rain. I met Emily and Mike at the Wilbraham Mansion, which is a gorgeous vintage bed and breakfast that just match the style of their wedding perfectly. One of my favorite shots of the day is of Emily in her room since it looks like we went back in time. Typically a bride wants a white dress, whether its a simple sheath or the princess ballgown, but Emily went in a different direction. Her dress was a beautiful cream colored tea legnth gown with black and blue accents, topped off with a vintage hat and short veil. It was perfect! I personally love everything 50′s so the style of their wedding was right up my alley.
The ceremony itself was held on the bay at Harbor View Park which made a beautiful backdrop. As Emily walked down the pathway to her future husband, Mike sang while his groomsmen played guitars. I wasn’t sure he would be able to make it through but he did a pretty good job! I believe he only got choked up once
Once the ceremony began everyone gathered around the bride and groom as they exchanged their vows. It was a very beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony everyone headed over to the reception at Alethea’s Restaurant. The restaurant was another amazing location. The room was beautifully with its chandeliers and natural light coming from the walls of windows. It was the perfect spot for Mike and Emily to spend the evening mingling with their family and friends.
